The editorial board of the Quarterly Journal sincerely appreciates the valuable contributions of experts who collaborate with the journal through their peer reviews.
To streamline the peer-review process, as soon as the editor-in-chief assigns you to review a manuscript, you will receive a notification email.
In this email, you will be asked to confirm your willingness to review the manuscript by clicking either “Accept” or “Decline.”
If you accept the review, a subsequent email will be sent to you, containing a direct link to the manuscript review page.
If you decline the review, you will receive an email confirming that the manuscript has been removed from your review list.
Note: If the manuscript does not precisely match your area of expertise, or if you do not have sufficient time to conduct the review, we kindly ask that you decline the invitation at the outset.
Accessing the Review System Without the Direct Link
Log into the system and select the role of “Reviewer.”
After entering with this role, you will have access to the following sections:
New Manuscripts: manuscripts newly assigned to you.
Manuscripts Under Review: manuscripts you have agreed to review.
Reviewed Manuscripts: manuscripts you have already evaluated or declined.
In this section, you may also:
Download certificates for completed reviews.
Access the reviewer guidelines.
Register your banking information.
Important Notes on the Review Process
Please take care when submitting your comments, as once submitted, they cannot be modified.
To view detailed information about a manuscript (editor’s notes, abstract, and initial comment box), click on the manuscript code.
After the review process is completed, the manuscript code will automatically be deactivated.
The full text of the manuscript is accessible only after you have accepted the review.
If your circumstances change, you may update your status by selecting “Unable to Review” in the system.
You may write confidential notes addressed to the author and the editor.
The system will not allow submission of your review until the evaluation form has been completed.
If you have annotated the manuscript file, you may upload this file for the editor.
To comply with the journal’s double-blind peer-review policy, please remove your username from the Word file before adding annotations.
The reviewer must submit the annotated manuscript file along with their comments to the scientific editor of the journal.
