(1996), the Optimism Bias Questionnaire (OBQ), the Iranian Youth Risk-taking Scale (IARS) and the Addiction Susceptibility Questionnaire (Readiness for Addiction). and Butcher (1992) and the obtained data were analyzed using stepwise regression and Pearson correlation using PROCESS software. Findings: Examining the findings showed that interpersonal problems and risk-taking were predictors of addiction tendency in the subjects, however, no evidence was found for the predictive role of optimism bias with addiction tendency. Conclusion: The findings of the research indicated the factors that play a role in the initiation and continuation of substance use disorder.
