The present study aimed to investigate the structural model of sleep disorders based on attitude towards body image, with the mediating role of internet addiction among medical science students. The research method was correlational, utilizing structural equation modeling. The statistical population consisted of students from the Islamic Azad University, Qom medical branch, during the first semester of the academic year 2023-2024. A sample of 200 students was selected using convenience sampling, and they completed the Sleep Disorder Questionnaire (SDQ), the Multidimensional Body-Self Relations Questionnaire (MBSRQ), and the Internet Addiction Test (IAT). The results indicated a significant relationship between attitude towards body image and internet addiction with sleep disorders (P < 0.01). Attitude towards body image and internet addiction explained 43% of the variance in sleep disorders. Attitude towards body image and internet addiction had a direct effect on sleep disorders (P < 0.01). The mediating role of internet addiction in the relationship between attitude towards body image and sleep disorders was confirmed (P < 0.01). It can be concluded that attitude towards body image and internet addiction are significant factors contributing to sleep disorders among medical science students.
